A day in the life of a child in an in formal settlement

My name is Annie, I am 11 years old and I live in an informal settlement. My family is very poor. Today I had to walk to school a very long distance. I was walking and then I saw a bird eating plastic. I think my life would be better if I have shoes so that when I walk to school my feet don't hurt and and I don't get cut from all the rubbish lying around. I would also like to have electricity so that I  don't study and do homework under a lamppost . I would really like to have running water in our house so that I don't have to wake up at 4:00 in the morning to queue at the tap. I wish that my parents Have a car so that I don't have to walk everywhere. I wish that I could have a toilet in my house so that I don't have to sit on a toilet without a door with people walking around. I don't like that our houses are all squashed together and that we have no privacy. I want to come home to a table full of delicious food, but instead I come home to a very littl

He has a oval peach colored face and dark green eyes, his hair is gold with thick curls. He called everyone to come to the stage except the tiny girls and boys and the big boys who do exams. Then we had to sing do ray me. First he called Benny and Charles. They sang horrible! Charles sang in a squelching voice and Benny sang in a low pitch voice. Mr Raymond shouted at them. Then he said get off my stage the long and the short. Then it was my turn to sing I sang with Iris.  I was shaking and then Mr Raymond said look what we have here the deaf and the dumb, not a word came out of my mouth, then he called Winnie and and said get the paralyzes mutes out of here, he made me very angry.

One day Bertie saw a white lion in the middle of an cackle of hyenas he didn't care that his dad said he cant open the gate but he burst the gates open and ran he roared that the hyenas were scared so the ran away and the lion was full of mud so Bertie took him home. This book is so despondent that my class started crying. I don't want to spoil more of the book. I really want you to read the book it is an amazing book by Michael Morpurgo.
